The myths and story about the ship have captivated us for almost 110 years now. There are kid’s books about it, movies, and a freaking Broadway musical. We love the Titanic. If you didn’t have a Titanic phase at some point, you’re actually kind of weird these days.
I never wrote about it for this reason. We all know the facts. But even though my first Titanic phase was when I was 6ish, I still learn more about it every time I research it.
I know there are a lot of articles saying “you don’t know these Titanic facts” but you did, in fact, know those Titanic facts. Well, you don’t know at least one of these Titanic facts.
- Technically, there were more than enough lifeboats.
I think this is the first thing about the Titanic everyone learns. There weren’t enough lifeboats for everyone on board. And literally, that’s true. There weren’t.
