Jack the Ripper: An FAQ

I recently posted an article asking what you all are interested in learning about Jack the Ripper, and today, I’m proudly obliging. I was really excited to get responses. All of your questions made my week.

It’s been a long week. I’ve been working third shifts from 11 PM-7AM so my sleeping schedule is shot. But no worries. I’m still happily churning out content and researching. But there’s another reason for the delay…

The research that went into this FAQ took an interesting personal turn that I wasn’t sure I was going to include in the final article. That’s why I took a bit longer.

In an interesting twist, I found out I may be related to Jack the Ripper. Actually, I’m related to the Francis Abberline’s main suspect. Even before I found out we may be distant cousins, he was mine too actually.

Polish names are complicated, so I’m still doing some record digging. I’ll update again once I have any confirmation either way. We aren’t so close that I think I need to check the attic for Annie Chapman’s rings, but it was a bit of a “woah” moment.
